Dear Piranha Families,

Please take a few moments to read through everything carefully so you and your swimmer are ready for the exciting week ahead.

🕗 TIME TRIALS – Saturday, June 13

Here’s the timeline for our first big event of the season:

• 6:30 AM – Volunteers for set-up arrive
• 7:00 AM – Swimmers arrive for warm-ups
• 7:30 AM – All volunteers check in
• 7:45 AM – Mandatory parent meeting in the parking lot
• 8:00 AM – Time Trials begin (Order: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly)
• ~12:00 PM – Time Trials end (Take-down volunteers must check in with team reps or the Volunteer Coordinator before leaving)

NOTES:

• WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS! You may be assigned a volunteer role if your family has not already signed up for one.
• All volunteers must wear navy bottoms and white tops!
• Please bring your suit, goggles, towels, sunscreen, water (a lot of it), snacks, and money for concessions. And see above for volunteer clothing requirements.
• Pee-Wees are not eligible to participate.
• Most 8 & Unders will swim only Freestyle and Backstroke
• Swimmers must be able to legally swim Breaststroke and Butterfly to participate in those events
• Spectators should sit on the diving board side of the pool (under the large blue umbrellas)

🔴🔵 RED & BLUE TEAMS/PIRANHA PACKS

Team competition begins at Time Trials and continues throughout the season. Points are awarded for participation, spirit, and performance at:

• Time Trials
• Pep rallies
• Red vs Blue meet on Monday, July 6th
• Practices
• Developmental ("B") meets

The team with the most points at the end of the season wins the coveted Red/Blue Trophy, presented at the banquet! Let the friendly rivalry begin!

👕 TEAM GEAR PICK-UP

Team T-shirts, caps, water bottles (for new team members), and swimsuits (if ordered) will be available:

• Saturday morning at Time Trials
• During practices throughout the week

🌴 PEP RALLY/RESCHEDULED POPSICLES WITH PINECREST

Our first pep rally of the season will be next Friday, June 19th! We will be combining it with Popsicles with Pinecrest (rescheduled from 6/12). Please RSVP and find more information here.

📆 NO PRACTICE – Wednesday, June 17

There will be no swim or dive practice on the last day of FCPS (June 17).

🌞 MORNING PRACTICES BEGIN – Thursday, June 18

We will switch to our summer morning schedule starting Thursday, June 18.
