The Pee-Wee Piranhas program is designed for our youngest swimmers who are ready for a structured introduction to swim team in a fun and supportive environment.

Please note that this is not a learn-to-swim program. Swimmers must be comfortable in the water and able to swim independently. All new Pee-Wee participants are required to complete an evaluation prior to registration to ensure readiness and safety.

Registration opens on May 18 at 9:00 AM and is limited to 20 participants.

To help our youngest swimmers become comfortable with the coaches, team environment, and practice routines, we will offer short afternoon sessions while FCPS schools are still in session.

• Tuesday, June 2 (6:45–7:00 PM): Meet the Coaches (dryland only; no swimming)
• Wednesday, June 3 – June 16: In-water practices held Monday–Thursday from 6:45–7:00 PM

These short sessions are intended to help swimmers build confidence and familiarity before transitioning to regular morning practices.

Morning practices will begin June 18 and will be held 9:30–10:15 AM. The final Pee-Wee practice will be held on July 22.

Pee-Wee swimmers are encouraged to fully participate in the Pinecrest team community, including pep rallies, social events, and cheering on the team at swim meets throughout the season. Pee-Wees will participate in the annual Lollipop Meet on July 15 at 6:00 PM.

Please note that Pee-Wees are not eligible to participate in Time Trials. Some swimmers may become eligible for later-season B Meets with approval from the Head Coach based on readiness and safety.
