Swim Team Volunteer Signup Opens Tonight (Saturday 6/13) at 7PM
Hello Piranha Parents and Fans,
Thank you to everyone who helped out at time trials today. Time trials is truly an all-hands-on-deck event as we don't share the volunteer responsibilities with another team. But thanks to your support, we had all the help we needed to start the season off strong.
Volunteer signups for most of the remaining meets will open at 7PM this evening. Signups can be found on the Swim Meet Declarations page under the Calendar tab in SwimTopia. In addition to the 5 Saturday meets and 4 Monday night meets, we have included a general job signup for anyone available to assist in the Red/Blue intrasquad meet on Monday morning, July 6th. This is a less formal meet, so you will just be signing up with your availability rather than a specific job, and we will work with the Team Reps to organize volunteers that morning.
A couple useful reminders/tips:
- If you are not sure if you child will be swimming in the Saturday meets, consider signing up for volunteer slots on Monday evening. Monday meets are open for all swimmers so we need lots of volunteers.
- For Monday meets, some of the volunteer slots are split into a 1st and 2nd shifts. 1st shift generally covers Freestyle and Backstroke and is ideal for parents of younger or newer swimmers who are not ready for Breaststroke, Butterfly, and IM events. 2nd shift is ideal for families with butterfly or IM swimmers or for parents who can't make it back from work early enough for the 1st half of the meets. If you are at the whole meet and want to sign up for both shifts, that is fine as well.
- Signups close roughly 48 hours before the meet, but may close sooner if we fill all slots. If you need to make a change and the signup is locked, please contact us as this will need to be adjusted manually in the system.
Please reach out if you have any questions or issues with the signup.
