Piranhas vs. Tidal Wave

Let’s get ready for our first away meet of the summer!!!

Pinecrest Piranhas take on the Virginia Hills Tidal Wave.

Check-in at Pinecrest at 6:30am. Swimmers arrive at VA Hills at 7:10 am - Warm ups begin at 7:25 AM SHARP.

**Marshalls must be in place before warmups begin.

What to wear: Team suit, team cap, goggles.

*remember no watches, double suits or caps from other teams/clubs.

What to bring: Towel, sunscreen, plenty of water and/or hydrating drinks, fans, etc (it's going to be HOT), money for concessions and your GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP & POSITIVE ATTITUDE!!

Parking:

The parking lot is very quaint. Please note: the first driveway is the ENTRANCE only -> two 1-way lanes through -> the bottom driveway is the EXIT only.

Once the parking lot fills up there is street parking on Dorset Drive -and there is ample parking located at the VA Hills Admin Lot on Diana Lane, approximately a block down on the right. Please be a responsible neighbor and do not block driveways and drive like your children live in this neighborhood. Thank you in advance.

Team Area:

The Pinecrest team area will be located on the far side of the pool deck near the play structure and grassy area. Our team area will be roped off with a yellow chord. We may use the pool deck or spread out on the grassy area. Camp chairs are encouraged.

Please ensure swimmers/siblings do not use the play structure and/or stand on tables for cheering purposes.

Parent Viewing:

Parents can view the meet best anywhere from the terraced hill and are encouraged to bring camp style chairs. They have a new timing board system located on their back shed so hopefully parents will enjoy being able to see times - boldly and quickly!

The morning will start in the shade but will definitely heat up as the morning progresses.

They do allow our pool lounge chairs to be pulled up on to the first two rows, if additional seating is needed.

Note: The playground and basketball courts are CLOSED during the meet. Also, they have an amazing Cup Wall- but it is not interactive. Please, please remind your children that they should not touch the cup artwork but maybe take a picture with it instead. Thank you!

Concessions:

Concessions will be serving Chik-Fil-A breakfast sandwiches, donuts, watermelon, & cold brew. They DO accept cash and credit options.
