Piranhas Make A Splash in Fox Mill Matchup

We had a great turnout for this fun annual neighborhood meet! Congratulations to our first-time IM swimmers, and a huge THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who helped make the meet run smoothly.

Divers Soar @ Cardinal Hill

Our small but mighty dive team had another impressive showing at our meet this past week, with many divers achieving their personal best scores and placing in each of their categories.

Pinecrest Smashes 1st Away Meet Against Virginia Hills

Saturday’s A meet was THRILLING, with a Pinecrest win and a final score of 226–194. Swimmers went all out, despite the overwhelming heat. GREAT JOB, PIRANHAS!

🗓 Looking Ahead – Schedule This Week

Monday – Intramural Meet & Pancake Breakfast

• This Red vs Blue morning meet is a fabulous opportunity for swimmers of all levels to get mid-season times in the books!
• Immediately following the meet, we’ll be serving our annual pancake breakfast (Pee-Wees and Dive Team will get their pancakes after they finish). We still need your help! Sign up here to volunteer or donate to the pancake breakfast.

Tuesday – Dive Meet (HOME vs Sideburn Run) + Swim Fun Day!

• Come cheer on our Piranha divers this coming Tuesday at our first home meet, starting at 6:00pm!
• All this unpredictable weather has added up to fewer fun days/donut days, and our Piranha swimmers are getting restless. Tuesday will be a fun day in the pool, and we need your help feeding the frenzy of donut-deprived Piranhas!

Wednesday – Divisional Relay Carnival @ Hamlet 🥽

• Details coming soon! Stay tuned for communications on relay teams, volunteers, and logistics. Preorder your T-shirts and/or bag tags (store closes on Monday, 7/6).

Thursday – Picture Day 8am @ Pinecrest 📷

• Arrive by 8am for team, individual, and sibling photos. Information regarding ordering will be shared at picture day. Don’t forget your team suit, Pee-Wee T-shirts, dazzling smiles, and Piranha spirit! Stay for practice after the photo shoot:
  • 9:00am-9:45am: 9-12 practice
  • 9:45am-10:15am: 8&U & Pee-Wee practice
  • 10:15am-11:00am: 13&U practice

Friday – Coach Kevin’s 100th NVSL Meet Pep Rally! 🧢🕶️

• Help us celebrate a HUGE milestone: Coach Kevin’s 100th NVSL meet! In honor of the occasion, dress up with your best Coach Kevin impression or lean into the 100th theme with suspenders, knee socks, cardigans, reading glasses, curlers, walkers, and “back in my day…” energy. Let’s celebrate Coach Kevin and everything he’s done for Pinecrest over the years! RSVP to let us know what you’ll be bringing to our incredibly special fiesta potluck!

Saturday – A Meet (Home vs Cardinal Hill), SENIOR DAY & Parent/Alumni Relays!

• Our next NVSL A meet is coming up this Saturday, July 11! We’re back on our home turf to take on Cardinal Hill, and we will be honoring our seniors during this meet. Come out to cheer for all our graduates and swimmers!
• Please let us know ASAP if your swimmer is available so we can begin planning! You never know when the team will call on your swimmer for a particular stroke, so please let us know if you are available.
• Don’t forget to sign up for volunteer slots, too!
• We encourage all swimmers and families to come out and recognize our seniors and cheer—even if you're not competing. Swimmers are welcome to sit with the team, and parents are encouraged to join the spectator section to help us bring the energy and support the full squad.
• Alumni/Senior Parents/ALL PARENTS - Don’t let the kids have all the fun! Sign up to swim in our parent relays, directly following Saturday’s meet.
