๐Ÿ Weekly Recap

Piranhas Wow in First PLANNED Intrasquad Meet

Congratulations to our first-time meet swimmers (yay, Pee Wees!) and, as always, a huge THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who helped make the Red vs. Blue meet and pancake breakfast run smoothly.

Divers Dominate on at Home vs. Sideburn Run

Our diving Piranhas beat Sideburn Run sweeping the freshman category and placing in all other competed categories. Next, we take on Mantua at an away meet on Tuesday. Our diver of the week was Chrissy Poole! He has consistently placed first in competition and successfully completed an inward dive after months of hard work (no easy featโ€”way to go)! Our final home meet is on Tuesday, July 21. Be sure to come cheer on your Piranha divers!

Pinecrest Takes 3rd Place at Annual Relay Carnival

Our relay teams faced off against all of Division 5 at Hamlet, resulting in our 15-18 boys setting TWO Pinecrest records and four teams landing SEVEN spots at All Star Relays! Many other relay teams came incredibly close to making All-Star Relays. Congratulations, relay teams!

Pinecrest Celebrates Our Adored Seniors, Outlasts Cardinal Hill & Puts Parents to Task in Relays

After recognizing our 10 beloved seniors, Pinecrest took on Cardinal Hill in a meet almost everyone predicted we would lose. Our Piranhas showed up and refused to back down, ending with a final score of 211โ€“209! It was an absolutely thrilling meet, full of incredible races, nailbiting relays, and raucous cheering all around!

๐Ÿ”œ Important Upcoming Events

๐ŸŸ Piranha-thon has been moved to July 21 for Swim Team and July 22 for Dive Team!

On Tuesday, July 21 (swim) and Wednesday, July 22 (dive), during our regular practice times, the Pinecrest Piranhas will be hosting our FIRST annual Piranha-Thon fundraiser!

Swimmers will challenge themselves to complete as many laps as they can during practice, while divers will work to complete as many quality dives as possible. Friends, family, and neighbors can support their efforts by making a donation or pledging an amount per lap or per dive.

Why We're Fundraising

This year's goal is to raise funds for:

  • New lane lines
  • Kickboards and other training equipment
  • New dive gear

Every dollar raised helps improve our program and provides better equipment for all of our athletes.

Piranha Pack Challenge ๐ŸŸ

Think your pack has what it takes?

Each swimmer and diver's fundraising total will count toward their Piranha Pack's overall total. At the end of the fundraiser, the Piranha Pack that raises the most money will earn bragging rights and a special team reward!

How to Participate

  1. Ask family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to sponsor you. The pledge form can be found here
  2. Donations can be made as:
    • A flat donation, or
    • A pledge per lap (swimmers) or per dive (divers).
  3. Come to practice on July 21 ready to give your best effort!

Every lap, every dive, and every donation makes a difference. Let's work together to make this our biggest fundraiser yetโ€”Go Piranhas!
